Services at Peace & Prosperity Psychiatry...

Life Doesn't Have to Feel This Hard

From the outside, many adults appear successful.

They’ve built careers.

Raised families.

Earned degrees.

Started businesses.

Taken on leadership roles in their professions and communities.

By most measures, they’re doing well.

Yet privately, many are struggling.

They’re overwhelmed.

Mentally exhausted.

Constantly behind.

Successful, but they don’t feel successful.

They know they are capable of more.

They know they’re intelligent.

They know they’re hardworking.

So why does life feel this hard?

It’s one of the most common questions I hear from adults who eventually seek an ADHD evaluation.

If that question feels familiar, you’re not alone.

Peace & Prosperity Psychiatry helps adults better understand how their brain works, reduce unnecessary struggle, and build a life that feels more manageable, sustainable, and fulfilling.

Who We Help

Many of the adults I work with have spent years pushing through challenges with effort alone.

They’re often the people others depend on.

Professionals.

Business owners.

Healthcare workers.

Educators.

Parents.

Leaders in their communities.

Many are successful by external measures.

Yet privately they often feel:

  • Chronically overwhelmed
  • Mentally exhausted
  • Constantly behind
  • Frustrated by procrastination or disorganization
  • Unable to consistently perform at the level they know they are capable of

The common thread isn’t a particular profession.

The common thread isn’t income.

The common thread is the feeling that life requires far more effort than it should.

Many patients arrive believing they have a motivation problem.

Or a discipline problem.

Or a character flaw.

More often than not, the problem isn’t effort.

The problem is that effort alone isn’t always the answer.

How Treatment Works

Every patient’s story is different.

That’s why treatment begins with understanding what is happening and what you hope to achieve.

Step 1: Right Fit Consultation

The process begins with a complimentary 15-minute Right Fit Consultation.

This conversation allows us to determine whether working together makes sense for both of us.

You’ll have an opportunity to briefly discuss your concerns, ask questions, and learn more about my approach to treatment.

If we decide together that moving forward makes sense, we’ll schedule a comprehensive evaluation.

Step 2: Comprehensive Evaluation

Before your evaluation, you’ll complete intake paperwork, questionnaires, and screening tools designed to help me better understand your history and concerns.

I review this information before we ever meet.

The evaluation itself typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes and includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms, history, relationships, responsibilities, and daily functioning.

The goal is not simply to determine whether ADHD is present.

The goal is to understand what is happening.

Because once we understand what’s happening, we can determine the most appropriate path forward.

For some people, that path involves ADHD treatment.

For others, the evaluation may reveal anxiety, burnout, depression, or another issue entirely.

The goal is clarity.

Not assumptions.

Step 3: Personalized Treatment Planning

If treatment is appropriate, we develop a plan together.

There is no single “right” treatment plan.

Some patients choose medication management alone.

Some benefit from therapy.

Some choose executive function coaching.

Many utilize a combination of approaches.

The right plan depends on your goals, symptoms, preferences, and circumstances.

My role is not to force you into a particular approach.

My role is to help you identify the tools most likely to help you succeed.

Existing Providers Are Welcome

Many patients come to Peace & Prosperity Psychiatry already working with a therapist, counselor, psychologist, coach, or other healthcare professional.

If you already have providers you trust, there is no expectation that you stop working with them.

In many cases, continuing those relationships makes sense.

When appropriate, I am happy to collaborate with your existing treatment team so that care remains coordinated and focused on your goals.

Some patients work with me for medication management while continuing therapy elsewhere.

Others choose to utilize additional therapy or executive function coaching through Peace & Prosperity Psychiatry.

The goal is not to replace relationships that are already helping you.

The goal is to help you build the support system that works best for you.

Treatment Options

No two patients are exactly alike.

Some are primarily seeking symptom relief.

Others want to better understand themselves.

Many want both.

Depending on your needs, treatment may include medication management, therapy, executive function coaching, education, or a combination of approaches.

The goal is not to fit you into a predetermined program.

The goal is meaningful improvement.

Medication Management

Medication can be one of the most effective tools available for treating ADHD.

When appropriate, medication may help improve:

  • Focus
  • Attention
  • Executive functioning
  • Mental clarity
  • Task completion
  • Emotional regulation

Some patients experience significant improvements with medication alone.

Others find medication works best when combined with additional support and skill development.

Treatment decisions are individualized and collaborative.

Some patients work with me exclusively for medication management while continuing therapy or coaching with providers they already know and trust.

The goal is simple:

To help you function more effectively and experience less frustration in your daily life.

Therapy

Many adults with ADHD also struggle with challenges that extend beyond attention and focus.

Years of frustration can contribute to anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, self-criticism, relationship difficulties, and chronic stress.

Therapy provides a space to better understand these challenges and develop healthier ways of responding to them.

Sometimes therapy is focused on solving a specific problem.

Sometimes it is focused on gaining insight and understanding.

Often it is both.

The objective is not simply to talk about problems.

The objective is to create meaningful and lasting change.

Executive Function Coaching

Many adults know exactly what they need to do.

The challenge is consistently doing it.

Executive Function Coaching focuses on practical implementation and skill development.

Together we focus on real-world challenges such as:

  • Planning
  • Organization
  • Time management
  • Prioritization
  • Task initiation
  • Follow-through
  • Accountability

The emphasis is practical, actionable, and directly connected to daily life.

Understanding your challenges is important.

Learning how to navigate them more effectively is equally important.

What Success Can Look Like

Every patient’s definition of success is different.

For some, success means finally being able to focus consistently at work.

For others, it means reducing overwhelm and feeling more in control of daily life.

For others, it means becoming more present with their spouse, children, family, and friends.

Many patients begin treatment feeling as though they’re using all of their energy simply trying to keep up.

Over time, they often develop a better understanding of how their brain works, learn strategies that reduce unnecessary struggle, and build systems that support their goals.

Work becomes more manageable.

Relationships improve.

Stress decreases.

Confidence returns.

Life doesn’t become perfect.

Life is still life.

Problems don’t magically disappear.

But things often become a hell of a lot easier.

Many adults discover that for the first time, they are working with their brain instead of constantly fighting against it.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

You do not need to know whether you have ADHD before reaching out.

You do not need to know whether medication, therapy, coaching, or another approach is right for you.

That is exactly what the complimentary Right Fit Consultation is designed to help determine.

If you’ve spent years wondering why life feels harder than it should, a conversation may be the best place to start.
